Saw Operator

Pay: Starts at $17/hour
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team at ARMI Manufacturing. The Saw Operator will be responsible for the safe operation of cutting materials to the correct lengths and angles, ensuring accuracy and optimal material optimization. This position is considered Safety Sensitive, requiring drug testing and fit-for-duty evaluation as a condition of employment, in accordance with state law guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate saws and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Read and interpret cutting work orders from production scheduling
- Cut materials to the correct lengths and angles with ultra-low percentage of mistakes
- Maintain accuracy in material cutting and optimization, without damaging any material
- Maintain a neat, tidy, organized, and stocked consumable cabinet
- Perform maintenance and preventative tasks such as changing saw blades and coolant
- Clean work area daily and maintain at an immaculate level
- Ensure everything within each cell has a home position and shadows to verify that everything is in place at the end of the shift
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating saws and related equipment
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and optimization skills
- Ability to maintain a neat, tidy, and organized work area
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to work either Tuesday – Friday 6am – 5pm or Sat-Mon 6am – 6pm (with bonus 4 hours for attendance infractions)
- Must pass drug testing and fit-for-duty evaluation as a condition of employment.
