Dept: Quality Assurance
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Decatur, AR
Pay Rate: $12.00 – $15.00 / Hourly
Primary Purpose:
- Inspect, research, process and package discovered nonconforming material
- Fix defected nonconforming material when applicable
- Create nonconforming reports and log
- Audit special units when needed
- Inspect and document Returns and log
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Follow the direction given by Quality Management for daily tasks
- Evaluate nonconforming material and communicate with vendors
- Suggest solutions to gaps with production personnel
- Route nonconforming material for additional evaluation and testing as required
- Physically pulling properly tagged nonconforming material from production lines daily
- Maintain accurate physical counts and update Quality Quarantine log daily
- Physically organize Quality Quarantine material area in area
- Fix nonconforming material as needed.
- Effectively package nonconforming material for transfer
- Audit special units when needed
- Fill out bin transfer sheets daily
- Email to key stakeholders end of shift transfers daily
- Document all data and findings on the appropriate form or database
- Communicate effectively with vendor for warranty engine transfer
- Communicate effectively with personnel from other departments
- Elevate any issues or concerns to Quality management in a timely fashion
- Evaluation RMA’s from field, report and disposition
Qualifications;
- Desire to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities
- Ability to operate PC and be intermediate user with MS Suite applications
- Have the ability to communicate effectively (written and orally) in English
- Be able to maintain good interpersonal relationships and work well with others
- Be firm and assertive but professional in conduct
- Must be meticulous with great attention to detail
- Possess effective time management and prioritization skills
- Have excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Able to handle multiple demands and tasks under stress
- Must have a positive, adaptable attitude
- Able to respond to changing priorities
- Ability to operate hand tools and measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, tape measure)
- Have the ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
- Must be able to lift SOlbs to chest height
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 1-year experience working in manufacturing environment
Other Duties as Assigned:
Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff.

- Exposure to Slippery and Uneven Surfaces
Safety:
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety equipment as prescribed by law.
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques and perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
