Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Decatur, AR

Pay Rate: $12.00 – $15.00 / Hourly

Primary Purpose:

1. Inspect, research, process and package discovered nonconforming material
2. Fix defected nonconforming material when applicable
3. Create nonconforming reports and log
4. Audit special units when needed
5. Inspect and document Returns and log

Job Description and Responsibilities:

1. Follow the direction given by Quality Management for daily tasks
2. Evaluate nonconforming material and communicate with vendors
3. Suggest solutions to gaps with production personnel
4. Route nonconforming material for additional evaluation and testing as required
5. Physically pulling properly tagged nonconforming material from production lines daily
6. Maintain accurate physical counts and update Quality Quarantine log daily
7. Physically organize Quality Quarantine material area in area
8. Fix nonconforming material as needed.
9. Effectively package nonconforming material for transfer
10. Audit special units when needed
11. Fill out bin transfer sheets daily
12. Email to key stakeholders end of shift transfers daily
13. Document all data and findings on the appropriate form or database
14. Communicate effectively with vendor for warranty engine transfer
15. Communicate effectively with personnel from other departments
16. Elevate any issues or concerns to Quality management in a timely fashion
17. Evaluation RMA’s from field, report and disposition

Qualifications;

1. Desire to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities
2. Ability to operate PC and be intermediate user with MS Suite applications
3. Have the ability to communicate effectively (written and orally) in English
4. Be able to maintain good interpersonal relationships and work well with others
5. Be firm and assertive but professional in conduct
6. Must be meticulous with great attention to detail
7. Possess effective time management and prioritization skills
8. Have excellent documentation and organizational skills
9. Able to handle multiple demands and tasks under stress
10. Must have a positive, adaptable attitude
11. Able to respond to changing priorities
12. Ability to operate hand tools and measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, tape measure)
13. Have the ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
14. Must be able to lift SOlbs to chest height

Education/Certification:

1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Minimum 1-year experience working in manufacturing environment

Other Duties as Assigned:

Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff.

Working Conditions:

1. Extensive Walking, Standing, and/or Climbing
2. Heavy Lifting, Stooping, Bending, Kneeling, and Reaching
3. Work In Close Proximity to Machinery With Moving Parts, Moving Objects or Vehicles
4. Exposure to Dampness and Humidity
5. Exposure to Slippery and Uneven Surfaces

Safety:

1. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
2. Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety equipment as prescribed by law.
3. Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
4. Follow established safety procedures and techniques and perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
5. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
