Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities include:
- Manages team to ensure optimal purchasing and material management practices
- Achieves and maintains purchasing goals
- Drives best practices and contributes to inventory reduction
- Achieves tactical and strategic goals related to vendor and purchasing management
- Analysis of customer demand, sales forecast, historical material usage
- Implementing best practices related to the systems and processes that support inventory, forecasting, purchasing, and material control
- Works closely with key stakeholders and functional areas of the business to understand and satisfy needs and requirements
Qualified applicants will have:
- Bachelors and/or Master’s degree (M. A.) or equivalent with four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- APICS and/or Purchasing Certification is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in materials management and purchasing function
- Knowledge of MS Office products and EAP systems
- Demonstrated experience cultivating relationships with internal and external customers in a fast-paced and complex environment
