Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of injection production, packaging, recycling, and resin production across 3 shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement production schedules that meet customer and facility needs, optimizing material usage.
  • Implement and maintain a double-check system for data entry of all production reports, verifying accuracy with the Warehouse Manager and General Manager.
  • Manage staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage in each production area on all shifts to maximize efficiency and achieve production goals.
  • Partner with the Office and General Managers to hire, train, cross-train, and promote employees, maintaining a budget-conscious, efficient workforce.
  • Review employee punch records, address absences and tardiness, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Identify and resolve equipment issues promptly, collaborating with the Maintenance Department on routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Schedule inbound waste deliveries, oversee unloading, sorting, and material movement throughout the warehouse.
  • Verify and enter data for SMIRs and other material movement reports, assisting with waste and finished goods cycle counts.
  • Partner with the General Manager on outbound resin shipments, guaranteeing accuracy of materials and quantities per requests.
  • Manage BOLs and Shipping Worksheets, completing paperwork and submitting it to relevant parties.
  • Work with the General and Warehouse Managers to maintain appropriate safety stock of finished goods, scheduling mold and color changes.
  • Collaborate with external resources to identify opportunities to reduce landfill waste and secure rebates/cost savings for recycled materials.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a production leadership role, ideally in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Proficient in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Experience with scheduling software and warehouse management systems preferred.
