Packaging Technician

Job Details

We are seeking a Packaging Technician to join our client’s manufacturing team in Springdale. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of activities related to the production, packaging and organization of workspaces, and providing support as needed for our client’s manufacturing facility. The position is full-time and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Read schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets, and process sheets to perform production and quality control, and when necessary simple trouble-shooting equipment.
• Perform tests, gather data, and write results/reports with assistance from engineering.
• Occasionally work on shift starting middle night (no more than 10 times a year), and availability for the shift starting at 5:00 am (more often).
• Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the VinTech Quality System.
• Organize tools and production environment, keep records, work in a team environment, but with initiative and able to work independently.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Have an eagerness to learn new capabilities and skills.
• Calculate simple algebraic equations and have forklift experience helpful.
• Work in a production environment while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to follow procedures and standard operating procedures with precision, organize tools and production environment, and keep records.
• Ability to work in a team environment, but with initiative and able to work independently, communicate effectively, and have an eagerness to learn new capabilities and skills.
• Ability to calculate simple algebraic equations and have forklift experience helpful.
• Must be able to work in a production environment while following safety procedures and lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
