MSP Field Technician

Location: Rogers, AR

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Salary: $40,000-$50,000 (DOE)

Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a skilled MSP Field Technician to join their team in Rogers, AR. As an MSP Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing on-site technology support to clients. Your responsibilities will include network discovery and validation reporting, deploying monitoring agents and configuring software, maintaining and upgrading servers and networking equipment, as well as performing desktop and laptop builds. This position will be the primary point of contact for our Network Operations Center, troubleshooting and resolving client hardware and software issues. Additionally, you will handle incident escalation from our Help Desk.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Ability to deploy, administer, and troubleshoot a wide range of IT systems and applications, including:
    • Windows 10 and above, including some legacy Windows versions
    • Various hardware products (servers, workstations, etc.)
    • Backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solutions
    • Installation, support, and troubleshooting of a variety of network firewall products
    • Microsoft Office applications and O365
    • Antivirus and anti-malware software
    • Mobile devices and tablets, including iOS and Android
    • Windows Server/Active Directory Services
    • MAC OS and Linux
    • Ethernet and Wireless Networking
    • Terminal Servers
    • TCP/IP switching and routing (ability to capture and analyze network traffic is a plus)
    • VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V virtualization environments

Additional Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT or a similar field support role across multiple industries and environments
  • Experience with Managed IT and Cloud Services
  • Microsoft, Cisco, CNA, Citrix, VMware Certifications are a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) software
  • Experience with service automation software (PSA and CRM systems)
  • Strong customer service focus and a desire to develop new skills
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel to multiple client sites as required
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in IS/Technology or a related field is desired
  • Good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
