Golf Course Maintenance
Location: Bella Vista, AR
Salary: $13/hour
Position Summary:
The Golf Course Maintenance Technician performs a range of unskilled and limited semi-skilled maintenance activities on the golf course. This position requires the ability to exercise independent judgment in routine matters without direct supervision. The Golf Course Maintenance Technician will work under the direct supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent or the Golf Course Superintendent Assistant.
Requirements, Essential Duties, and Responsibilities:
Provide support to the golf course maintenance department.
Utilize hand and power tools, operate small power-driven equipment, and occasionally operate road and golf maintenance vehicles on a relief or fill-in basis.
Assist in conducting irrigation repair tasks under the direction of a superior.
Perform tasks such as raking, shoveling, edging, adding sand, and removing rocks from sand traps.
Change cup locations and move tee markers.
Service ball washers and empty trash containers.
Irrigate greens, tees, and fairways.
Mow greens, fringe, tees, fairways, and roughs.
Make minor adjustments to mowers.
Operate hand mowers, weed trimmers, trucksters, and other vehicles.
Maintain the grounds around the clubhouse.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Must pay continual attention to details.
Excellent customer service skills when interacting with all customers.
Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
Basic knowledge of golf course maintenance practices is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear frequently.
Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with greater weights requiring a team lift.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Required movements include trunk-bending, twisting, rotating, pushing, pulling, carrying, arm’s reach, and leg lifts.
