Fabrication Metal Worker

Job Description

Work in a production environment, engage in continuous production activity and meet requirements of time constraints.  You will be held accountable for quality and accuracy of your work.  You must be capable of understanding and learning or have experience at fabricating sheet metal parts from drawing and templates utilizing sheet metal, angle and other steel products.   Acceptable candidate must have the ability to read plans and drawing and determine the type of material and measure and bend, cut or shape metal to make products.  Must have the ability to check the products for accuracy and make any adjustments.  Must be capable of understanding and learning or have experience with hand and power tools plus equipment including shear, press brake, roller and iron worker forming press.   Other tools include the operation of plasma cutters, hammers, grinders, drills, etc. You may be expected to interact with other departments in the completion of their daily assignments.

Job Skills

• Must be able to understand and learn or have experience in operation and set of Metal Shear, Punch Machinery,
• Must be able to understand and learn or have experience in operation and set up of Press Brake, Roller, & Drill Press
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and Measuring tools to include Micrometers and Calipers.
• Must be able to read Engineering prints and Documentation. Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
• Must be able to perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
• Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication at some level of skill set is desired.
• This position entails lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
• Assisting in other Fab Shop areas as needed
