Manages and assists in developing employee training.  Maintains training matrix, SDS database, and HRIS databases. Serves as backup for front desk function as needed. Assists in HR and Quality duties assigned by managers.  This position has the potential to grow into a larger role for the right candidate. Responsibilities for this position will include but may not be limited to:

 

 

  • Provide classroom training for PCBA manufacturing
  • Maintain certification status to electronics industry standards:

?              IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies,

?              IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies

?              IPC 7711/7721, Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies

  • Manage employee training records, database (Paycom) and/or training matrix.
  • Provides input for job descriptions and documentation for training and EHS requirements
  • Provides input for training requirements during annual review of current job descriptions.
  • Attends IPC CIT training programs for new certifications and/or biennial recertifications
  • Create new learning courses, tasks and job specific training checklists in Paycom
  • Update learning courses when documents revisions change, push them out for training in Paycom
  • Update checklists in Paycom when new documents are released and when documents are obsoleted
  • Perform FAIs for Quality
  • Provide backup for QC as needed
  • Assists in/performs/coordinates internal and external audits as needed including ISO, ESD, Training, EH&S, etc.
  • Reviews/Revises ISO Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and forms, coordinate approval, publish on ISO website and push out for training in Paycom
  • Maintain company Intranet
  • Adds input to job descriptions and documentation for training and EHS requirements as needed to ensure success of the company
  • Oversee Safety Committee and coordinates monthly safety meetings.
  • Coordinates new chemical approval process and manages the SDS database.
  • Responsible for completion of risk assessments.
  • Conducts periodic EHS audits with Corporate EH&S Manager.  Works with managers & supervisors to resolve issues identified.
  • Assists maintenance with coordination of lockout/tagout, recycling, noise, confined space, emergency response, and bloodborne pathogen programs.
  • Assist with completion of corrective actions
  • Coordinates periodic fire, tornado and spill drills.
  • Adds input to training requirements during annual review of current job descriptions.
  • Assists with injury and illness investigations, data reporting and corrective actions.
  • Assists in maintaining and updating the building security badge access system.
  • Conducts periodic EHS audits of the facility.
  • Coordinates lockout/tagout, recycling, hot work, noise, confined space, emergency response, and bloodborne pathogen programs.
  • Facilitates ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification programs.
  • Coordinates periodic fire, tornado and spill drills.
  • Ensures all local, state and federal requirements are met.
  • Other duties maybe assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Associate degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience in a professional office environment with HR task responsibilities.
  • Experience in implementing and sustaining safety policies and programs.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with responsibility administering safety program and technical training.
  • Two (2) years’ experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, e.g. ISO9001, AS9100, etc.
  • Proficient understanding of federal, state, and local safety rules and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal communications skills.  Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to provide training.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
