Job Details

As an Electrical Engineering Lead in Fayetteville, AR, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and supporting the design, coordination, and installation of new and remodel electrical and logical projects for our plant. You will supervise all aspects of electrical and logical control systems, provide technical support for automation projects, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in PLC, VFD, HMI, and data collection systems, along with your familiarity with Rockwell programming software and automation hardware, will be essential in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, modify/improve, test, and startup PLC and HMI automation projects for industrial projects.
  • Troubleshoot Rockwell Automation and PLC hardware, including RS Logix 5, 500, and 5000.
  • Oversee electrical installations, ensuring compliance with codes and construction methods.
  • Update blueprints for cabling, building controls, fire alarm, security, and access control systems.
  • Collaborate with contractors for software and hardware upgrades.
  • Produce accurate written documents, reports, and technical memorandums.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair high and low voltage control, power, alarm, and lighting systems.
  • Champion reliability for electrical installations at different voltage levels.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical labeling, signage, and regulatory requirements.
  • Teach proper troubleshooting of AC inverter and DC variable speed motor drives.
  • Identify needed parts, plan jobs, and install complex electrical equipment.
  • Document work using company email and CMMS software.
  • Comply with company policies such as lock-out/tag-out, PPE utilization, and GMPs.
  • Assist other trades with repairs and installations.
  • Present ongoing repair information to management verbally and in writing.
  • Provide approved electrical/PLC training updates to Maintenance or assigned teams.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial electricity and logical controls, or equivalent education/training.
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and ability to learn company software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Physical condition commensurate with job demands.
  • Completion of LOTO, Fall Protection, Hot work permit training, etc.
  • Desired experience with 5S methodology.
  • Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of “Good Manufacturing Procedures.”
  • Desired Associate Degree in Electrical field or equivalent.
  • Availability for scheduled weekend work and overtime.
  • Proficiency in English for job-related communication and safety regulations.
  • Ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening and company background check.
