Blender Operator

Pay: $16-16.50/hour
Full Time | Shift – 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am

- Included but not limited to reading and understanding batch tickets, verifying setups, operating blender and sack dump, basic record keeping, and knowledge of sanitation requirements. Must have the ability to run all blending operations included but not limited to identifying potential technical problems in the blending processes and stopping process until assistance is obtained and identifying quality problems before transfer of product is made from blender to holding tanks. Must understand the effect omission or addition of various ingredients has on composition, color and texture of product. Must assist in training new blender operators and in other areas as directed by the supervisor. Must stay current on new work methods and procedures as job demands. Must be able to lift 50lbs or more, drive a forklift, stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, twist, and reach in all directions.
- Responsible for keeping the production areas from running out of flour and completing paperwork at shift change. Employee will be responsible for receiving and unloading bulk flour from railcars and bulk trucks. Employee must be able to move and hook up hoses. Minimal computer skills required. Must not have an aversion to heights and be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50lbs or more. Will be standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, and reaching in all directions.
- Employee will be bagging and stacking 25-50lb bags of product repetitively. Must make sure bagged product is the proper weight and bags are sealed properly. Must check pallets to make sure proper pallets are being used. Must be able to neatly stack bags or boxes per Newly Weds Foods guidelines. Must label bag at the end of the 180 conveyor. Must be able to drive a forklift and insert or remove stainless steel totes from the hopper deck. Make sure all product is removed from totes. Basic HACCP and GMP knowledge. Will be standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching in all directions.
