Accounting Manager

A local and very well-established manufacturer is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team! The best person for the position will have a strong accounting background and leadership experience. Duties and responsibilities for the position will include:
• Manage the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy
• Maintain and enforce appropriate accounting controls and the business unit’s compliance with the company’s internal control program
• Ensure compliance with stated business process controls, including SOX related controls
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors on the execution of financial, operational, and internal controls audits
• Identify, understand, and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts
• Investigate variances between actual results and budget/forecasts
• Provide operational support to the business unit GM and other managers as needed
• Manage customer invoicing, rep commissions, fixed assets, payroll, cash, and A/P-A/R functions
Basic Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree related to Finance or Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience
