Work with an engagement team to provide quality compiled and prepared financial statements in accordance with SSARS 21, tax write-up, and assistance to clients in various industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, health care, wholesale/distribution, financial institution, governmental and nonprofit companies.


  • Actively maintain the firm’s core values HT3 and service standards
  • Maintain client files in appropriate software for the following accounting functions needed
  • Responsible for accurate coding of general ledger transactions
  • Ensure accuracy of client financial records, specifically the trial balance and general ledger reconciliations
  • Calculating and making appropriate accrual entries
  • Work with accounting software on fixed assets and determine related depreciation
  • Complete analysis of general ledger accounts to identify needed adjustments
  • Prepare relevant reports of financial activity and use accounting skills for problem solving, which may include budget versus actual variance identification, analysis and cash flow
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to, state reporting, payroll (Forms 940, 941, W-2, W-3), sales tax, Forms 1096, 1099, 940, 941, W-2, and W-3
  • Understanding basic principles of accounting along with common accounting standards and procedures
  • Prepare basic to medium complexity compiled and prepared financial statements, tax write-ups and related workpapers
  • Assist Consulting Managers/Executives and clients with a variety of other financial and non-financial matters
  • Hone write-up and planning skills, including the ability to identify, analyze and articulate problems and opportunities, and propose solutions as a client advocate
  • Effectively communicate results, both internally and externally on project and client information
  • Understand client objectives and maximize the value of the service we provide with respect to attaining those objectives
  • Maintain understanding of all relevant computer software applications and how they might best be used to promote efficient use of time
  • Obtain understanding of the economics of job performance by reviewing and working within Firm operational budgets and billing constraints
  • Develop time management skills and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Expected level of chargeable time is 1,400 – 1,500 billable hours, within the context of 2,200 – hour year
  • Compliance to the Firm’s quality control standards




  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting or related field from an accredited school required.
  • Basic knowledge of MASXX, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Sage 50 and ability to adapt to other accounting software
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting and other applicable accounting pronouncements
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word and other software applications
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and be highly organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Internship and/or six months to 2 years recent public accounting experience preferred
